Today we'll be answering another question from one of our lovely followers. This one's from Nina:
"The Miss Bangs, How do you stay motivated when completing a goal or a task? Thank you."
Great question, Nina! To be honest with you, my human still struggles with this themselves but I'll be happy to share some things that they do to keep themselves motivated while they work on our projects. One thing that helps my human stay motivated is surrounding themselves with a helpful and positive environment. This can look different depending on who you are and what your task is. One of the most important things is to remove distractions from the room. For my human, this means removing things like gaming systems or cell phones from their room.
Another thing that can help is setting a deadline for each task. If my human doesn't have a deadline for something, it will never get done! It doesn't have to be drastic. You don't have to give yourself a consequence if you don't make it. Just telling yourself that you'll get something done by a certain date works better than you might think. You may also want to make sure your goals are clear and achievable. Making a list of your goals and checking them off as you achieve them can be oh so satisfying! It's also a great ego boost.
Keeping a routine going is useful as well. I know this as a cat. There's nothing like a good routine to keep you on track and maintain healthy habits.
Finally, it's important not to forget to reward yourself even when you achieve the small tasks. A small step forward is better than staying in the same place, after all. In fact, human likes to think of the end goal or where they'd like to be in the long run after completing each small step. It helps them to keep going.
