Salutations and welcome to another session of WWBS or What Would Bangs Say? Today's topic wasn't requested by anyone but I feel it's appropriate for the time of year.
New Year's Resolutions - Do you have one this year? Should you have one this year and if so, what should it be? These questions are what we'll explore in today's post.
First, let's go over a few tips on making New Year's Resolutions and keeping them.
Tip #1: Be realistic: Make sure you are setting realistic goals for yourself this year. For example - Becoming an outdoor cat. As much fun as the outdoors can be - this would be an unrealistic goal because of my severe allergies. (Health comes first, after all). Tip #2: Track your progress: Keeping track of your small successes over time will lead you to your ultimate goal as long as you keep at it. It never hurts to make an outline.
Tip #3: Reward yourself: Following our last tip, small successes matter so be sure to reward yourself for them! Tip #4: Don't beat yourself up: Do your best! When you make a mistake, don't dwell on it. Remember that resolutions are not mandatory, if you can't think of one, that's okay. In fact, if you ask me, there's only one resolution that matters each year - "Make this the best (whatever year) it can be." Of course, in this case, my human and I plan on making this the best 2023 we can have.
Notice I didn't say "Make this the best year ever" or "Make this year better than last year". No need to make it a contest. Have the best year you can have and be the best you, you can be. I think that's enough for now. Hopefully, these tips helped you out a bit, starlights. My human and I plan on 2023 being a busy year for us so we hope you are looking forward to our future content. Happy New Year and shine bright, starlights! Have a request for a future post? Let us know through comments or email to find out What Would Bangs Say? Contact us here: https://krisnbangs.com/contact
Outstanding advice. Start small with the attainable and don’t beat yourself up. I love it. As I sit here days after the first, I know it is not too late. Thanks.
Love it Miss B…..you are a wonderful life coach!
